Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Pathologist
Dr Lisette Collins is a Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Pathologist specialising in the diagnosis and assessment of head and neck diseases, including those of the oral cavity, jaws and salivary glands. She is an NHS Consultant at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, London since 2019, where she provides specialist services for London and the South East of England.
In addition to her clinical practice, she is involved in research and clinical trials, and undertook her own research into the genetic analysis of ossifying fibromas at the University of Sheffield, where she completed her Master's Degree in Genomic Medicine. Other interests include PD-L1 diagnostics, for which she advises for the UK NEQAS head and neck PD-L1 IHC pilot and sits on the HN-CLEAR PD-L1 international working group.
She is regularly involved in both National and International conferences and was a contributing author for classification of fibro-osseous lesions for the WHO blue book in Head and Neck Tumours (2021).
Lisette sits on the councils of both British Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology (BSOMP) and British Association of Head and Neck Oncologists (BAHNO). She is involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students at King's College London as well as nationally to specialty trainees in pathology, oncology, maxillofacial surgery and oral medicine. She continues to be engaged in medical education curriculum design and examination and is a current examiner for both the Royal College of Surgeons of England and the Royal College of Pathologists.
