Clinical Oncology Trainee

Dr Ifigenia Vasiliadou is a clinical oncology trainee at the Royal Marsden Hospital and a PhD candidate at King’s College London. Her research focuses on the novel combination of radiotherapy with hyperthermia and immunotherapy, using pre-clinical models to explore new treatment strategies in head and neck cancer. She obtained an MSc in Oncology from the Institute of Cancer Research, with her thesis project focusing on the use of immunotherapy in the management of head and neck cancer. Alongside her clinical training, she has contributed to the field through research, peer-reviewed publications, and presentations at national and international conferences. Dr Vasiliadou is an elected member of the ESTRO Hyperthermia Focus Group and a recipient of an Oracle Head & Neck Cancer UK award. She also plays an active role in education as a teaching representative for specialist trainees at the Royal Marsden Hospital.
