Lorna Wilson

Senior Specialist Oncology Dietitian

Lorna is a registered dietitian with over 25 years’ experience in the NHS. She has worked in oncology for more than 20 years, including the past decade specialising in the care of patients with head and neck cancer.

In 2018, Lorna was appointed Lead Dietitian for Proton Beam Therapy at The Christie, home to the UK’s first proton beam therapy centre. In this role, she has led the development and implementation of a specialist nutrition service for patients undergoing proton therapy, establishing dietetic pathways to optimise patient outcomes. Her work contributes to advancing dietetic practice within this emerging field.

Alongside her clinical leadership, Lorna is actively involved in research and clinical trials, supporting the integration of evidence-based nutrition care into evolving cancer treatment approaches
