Rosanna works as a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist specialising in Oncology within the Head and Neck Cancer team in Swansea Bay University Health Board (SBUHB). She first joined the team in 2018, having returned to live in Swansea from London, and after a period of working in Critical Care from 2020, Rosanna re-joined the Head and Neck Team in 2023. Rosanna graduated from the University of Reading in 2010 and has since gained a broad range of experience including across post-head and neck surgery, neuro-rehabilitation and prolonged disorders of consciousness. Rosanna’s area of specialist interest is within instrumental dysphagia assessment, having been a supporting author of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) updated position paper for FEES (Fibreoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing) in 2020, as well as coordinating videofluoroscopy and FEES clinics throughout the health board and acting as supervisor and mentor to more junior therapists.
