Mr Sharan Jayaram is a Head and Neck/Skull base surgeon based at Royal Preston Hospital (Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS trust). He is the Clinical Director of the department and serves as the Head and Neck CRG chair for Lancashire and South Cumbria.

After completing initial post graduate training at AIIMS,New Delhi, he completed Head and Neck Fellowships at Southampton and Birmingham. He was an 'International Visiting Scholar' at UPMC, Pittsburgh.

Having worked as an NHS Consultant for 12 years, his current specific areas of interest include Transoral Robotic Surgery (TORS), Endoscopic Sinonasal cancer resections and Tracheal stenosis.

With a keen interest in education, he has taken on various educational roles at Northwest Deanery and is a Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at Edgehill university.

In his roles across different trusts in UK and abroad, he has been actively involved with reconfiguration of head and neck services in various capacities.
